Wealth warning:This is a chargeable service from Eurofile PC Support Services—we shan't be offended if you check-out the FREE advice on this site first.
The idea of remote assistanceis fairly simple—a support 'agent' connects to your computer via the internet and controls it directly rather than trying to advise you over the telephone.
This sort of facility has been used by big companies for some years but the growing quality of broadband connections have now made it a feasible technology for small users.
The method does, of course, depends on a working internet connection and the stability of the session is somewhat dependent upon the internet service provider at each end.
Until recently, we were using Laplink RemoteAssist which we generally found easier than the facility originally built-into Windows XP Professional.
However, things change and we now prefer the Remote Assistance facility built-into some editions of Windows Vista, which enables us to support all versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista.
There are various ways to access this remote assistance facility and you should contact us by phone or email to discuss your requirements.
Although we will be operating your computer directly, you have full use of your own mouse and keyboard which enables you to terminate the session at any time.
If we are able to help, our charge is £25 + VAT (£28.75) per session (up to one hour) which may be paid by credit card here:
